Hi! Does sega nomad mod include the power back version? Thanks!
Yes, I mod the AA or NiMH packs. The AA allow for 2 LiPo cells, the NiMH allows for 3 cells. Both provide much longer battery life.
Hey I am from the UK. I do own the standard original battery pack. Sadly I won’t be able to pay for the service now due to Covid. I am just wondering whether I am eligible for this service later on next year and whether you plan to stop doing mods. I did read you recent post in the website saying how you plan to stop soon. I hope I will not be too late.
Hi Brice, I plan to continue Sega Nomad battery pack service and Atari 5200 controllers. I am not all the way out of the business, just wanted to get out of the most tedious repair work, like recapping systems. I want to keep this a hobby and fun.
My only worry is shipping costs/restrictions to the UK. I do use LiPo cells, so I will have to check to see what the limits are with international shipping. So, again, I do plan on continuing the Nomad pack service.
Yes I did the research and Lipo batteries can be sent to the UK so long as they are in a device, the battery pack.
I will get back to you when I can make the payment.
Also I quickly wanted to say would I have to send my Sega Nomad system as well?
No, just the battery pack. I can upgrade and test without a system.
Are you able to sell these completely assembled? I would love to buy one if possible
I was thinking of adding this product, however, the availability of Nomad packs is an issue. About the cheapest I could find is around $80 a pack, I add about $15 in parts and it takes about half an hour to make a pack, $25 in labor. $120 would be the best I can do, and I don’t have any packs on hand.
