Thank you so much for presenting this new alternative controller. I look forward to trying to make one for myself. Heck if I can do it successfully maybe I can make 4 since I own a 4 port. 😉
Do you sell the larger controller also or just the jaguar type? I think its great that you did this,I dont want to buy an overpriced wico controller. How much is shipping to zip 48051 in michigan? I really like the jaguar controller and will be purchasing one.
Extremely cool project. I’d like to build something just like this so thank you for the schematic!
One note – might help others in the future – you link to audio taper pots above. They should actually be linear, correct? Thanks.
The Audio taper was on purpose. The swing of the potentiometer is only 90 degrees or so a log or audio taper pot works better than linear. A normal linear pot expects a swings though 270 degrees. If you use a linear, you may need a 1K or higher, but I have not tried it.
Thanks, I was wondering if that was intentional. Makes sense. I’ll try it with audio pots.
Thanks for documenting your work. Not a lot of tech projects for the 5200. You and Scott Baker seem to be leading the pack, so I”m thankful to have some projects to try. Gracias!
As another 5200 project I am working on, I think I have cracked the mystery of how to use modern pot based controllers WITHOUT using audiuno or digital potentieters. I have it breadboarded, I wantto build it into a Jaguar controller before I release it to the world.
