In case you are a proud owner of an Atari 5200 True Analog controller and wondered that the different version numbers mean, this is the history of my controllers:
V 1.0 Original controller, large number of 3D printed parts for coupling to the replacement potentiometers. No silver stripe or markings on top of unit. Internal wiring are hand soldered joints.
V 1.1 Improved coupler for internal potentiometers and adjustment bracket.
V 2.0 Introduced overlay compatible, ANDI, and dual controller. Added silver stripe and Atari 5200 Pro Stick color labels. Improved strain relief. Changed from soldered to fast-on connectors for buttons. Added screw terminal to IDC type connection.
V 2.1 Small improvements to the 3 button Start/Pause/Reset buttons, switched from 3d printed to standoff.
V 3.0 Complete redesign of analog joystick, removed all 3D printed parts and couplings internally, direct replacement of potentiometers. Switched from soldered to DuPont style connectors. Removed screw terminal and replaced with DB15 to IDC cabling. Added top vinyl textured cover to prevent fingerprints.
V 3.1 (Upcoming) Replace 3 button module with custom printed circuit board, modify cutting pattern to better follow new board. Use DuPont connector for 3 button board.
V 3.11(Upcoming) Replace 3 button standoffs with brass standoffs. Waiting for parts.
